Currently Listening to "US" by Nother

What are the band's main influences? Milella's music has the ability to be both engrossing yet calm, soothing yet immediate. It's electronic music with a human pulse, with an ability to find homes both in the headphones of our last year and the dance-floors of our re-emergence tomorrow.

Have you played any notable gigs, festivals or other events? Likewise radio or TV appearances? His experience scoring three feature films, as a performer and composer for many electronic acts brought him to play on stages like Primavera Sound (Barcelona), SXSW (USA), Bestival (UK) and Strawberry Festival (China).

Are there any other interesting or amusing happenings – no matter how small – that the band have been involved with that would be of interest to those who like your music? Nother is the solo project of Stefano Milella, created after years of collaboration as a producer, drummer and composer for movies and tv, working on many documentaries for National Geographic, History Channel, Fox, and writing several soundtracks for short films and the movies such as South Is Nothing, Only For the Weekend, and There Is A Light.

Do you have any favourable quotes from previous reviews of the band that you'd be happy to share? "It's a gorgeous slice of melancholic electronica, and it features the surreal vocals" XLR8R "The album represents a won challenge, also thanks to the presence of several singers. Among references to Burial and the best Lali Puna, the album "Future is Bright" runs very enjoyable" BILLBOARD Italy

Where was the single/EP/album recorded and who was involved in its production? "The Distance" Single feat Matilde Davoli "Lines" Single feat Moon Leap "Dance Like an Animal" feat Grecale "Future is Bright" LP

Is there a particular ethos behind the single/EP/album or any particular music styles or events that inspired it? Created after the loss of a close friend, Nother was finally a project that allowed Milella to focus squarely on the music.

Can you briefly describe what the song/each song is about? If you are releasing an album then either describe the thinking behind the project or choose a couple of lead tracks to focus on. A distorted love song about the end of the world and an anthem for new starts. It’s a bass-heavy ballad, driven by an uneven beating synth, with Moon Leap's voice floating over the intimate piano sounds, which contrast against a backdrop of glitchy beats.

Were there any notable or amusing happenings surrounding the recording/production of the EP? As above, list whatever might be of relevance. The song will be performed live for the very first time at Primavera Sound (Stage 10, Night Pro) this June the 9th at midnight, simultaneously with the digital release.

Please provide a one or two-line personal quote that can be attributed to a band member, about either the band themselves or the release. Nother describes the song as “a way of facing your fears, asking for help to someone you love”
