PBG 3 Question Interview with MILYAM "Lost in the Jungle"

Produced by a Girl Interview with MILYAM

1. ‘Lost in the Jungle’ feels like an entire universe you’ve created for listeners to explore. When you were crafting that immersive soundscape, were you hoping people would first be swept up by the mystery, the emotion, or that irresistible sense of escape?

MILYAM: "Thank you for the beautiful words. For me, emotion always comes first. I wanted listeners to feel—not just hear—this record, for it to truly live in their hearts. This song isn’t about escaping; it’s about navigating the emotional jungle, about not letting the shadows steal your faith in a new beginning. Sometimes we get stuck in moments that are already over. This track is about finally closing that chapter, saying goodbye, and trusting that the most beautiful things are waiting just beyond the horizon. It's about being ready for that new life."

2. Your music always feels like it’s painting vivid scenes, not just melodies. How do you sense when a song has reached that cinematic level, where it truly matches the world you’re imagining in your mind?

MILYAM: "Whenever I write a song, I’m pouring myself back into a deeply personal, life-changing moment. I fully surrender to that raw emotion all over again. The story always comes alive first, and the music finds its place around it. I sense that a song is complete when the sound finally becomes a perfect mirror for what I feel inside. When the playback perfectly captures the heartbeat of that memory in my chest, I know the true essence has been shared."

3. Building the MILYAM EMPIRE as an independent artist is such a bold and inspiring journey. What have you discovered about trusting your creative instincts as you share your music with a growing global audience?

MILYAM: "MILYAM EMPIRE is an independent creative brand I'm building alongside my mother. At its core, our vision is to craft truly timeless music—records rooted in fundamental human values. We intentionally focus on delivering pure emotion instead of chasing fleeting industry trends. Operating this way gives us the total freedom to step outside standard commercial molds and completely trust our own vision. We are carving our own lane. And honestly, this is just the beginning."
