With Love (Original EP)

Hi! What was the inspiration behind With Love ?

The 7 song EP was written and recorded during the pandemic. Tommy and I were off the road for the first time in fourteen years, digging through boxes of old song demoes and ideas for new songs, reached out to our co-writer Kevin Fisher in California and we produced this amazing collection of love songs.

How do you handle the pressures of being so successful in the music industry?

I never really consider how much success I have or don’t have. Everyday is a new day to write a new song, write another chapter in my Kids’ book, produce another podcast show, and hopefully inspire somebody. That to me is success. Have I inspired and changed a life today through my gifts and talents?

We’d love to hear about your children’s book work. What’s a favorite children’s book you’ve written and why?

Jake The Road Dawg is my first children’s book. The story was inspired by the true life journey of our shelter husky we adopted in Nashville, TN. Jake’s courage and heart helped him overcome his insecurities to where he traveled with us on the road, sat up on stage with us, and attended book signing events in schools and book stores. He became a little rock star.

What’s your favorite memory in your music journey? Moving to Nashville and meeting my amazing husband and musical partner, Tommy Parham.

What can other indies learn from your pathway to success internationally especially? Never give up! Be prepared to wear many hats in the industry, work hard, sacrifice, and always believe in what and who you are.

What drew you to the music industry and what has your journey been like?

I began singing on stage at an early age and when I won my first big singing competetion everything started falling into place. I love writing songs, recording them in the studio and sharing them with my audience. The journey has carried me across The USA/Canada/UK and blessed me with relationships and memories that are my life.
